ADVENTURE AT ITS WILDEST!

The Multisport calendar in KwaZulu Natal look sets to explode this season with the advent of a new series of events. A Wildlands Conservation Trust initiative, The Wild Series is a collection of Multisport Challenges from around the province. At the core of the series are four well established events that cumulatively have a history of over 15 years of extreme challenges.

Well known events such as the Giants Castle mountain bike challenge and Mont-Aux-Sources run challenge are two events that each have an event pedigree of over ten years. Recent challenges that started three years ago and have created much interest are the Didima Xtreme Challenge and Imfolozi Big 5 Mountain Bike challenge. A joint venture between Wildlands Conservation Trust and Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife, The Wild Series is the only series of events in the country that has Conservation as its driving force. These events all profile the spectacular beauty of the provinces protected area network and the Trust is proud to be the organising partner with Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife.

The Trust is also one of the official beneficiaries of the Comrades Marathon, Golden Mile, Midmar Mile and Eight Mile Club. Events not only happen in KZN Wildlife protected areas but will also be staged in aligned conservancy areas areas and urban areas with the express objective to drive a conservation ethos into participants and spectators.
