Your chance to sample the Old Mutual Wild Series!

Over the years the Old Mutual Wild Series team have often received requests from athletes to run in ONE DAY of our multi day challenges. In an effort to expose runners to the Wild Series we’re opening up a limited number of places in each of our stage trail races (Three Cranes Challenge, Kruger2Canyon Challenge and Golden Gate Challenge) to those who feel they are not able to take on the full event.

How it works:

If you are interested in running just ONE DAY of any of the above events send an email to stating which event and what stage of that event you would like to run. To select the lucky individuals who will be given the opportunity to take part, we will draw names from a hat. Runners will have 24 hours to accept the invite or it will be passed on to the next runner drawn from the hat.

There is no charge, but we encourage all those lucky enough to be drawn to take part, to make a donation to Wildlands’ Conservation Projects by clicking here or chat to Zandi to find out how.

Next Chance:

Old Mutual Wild Series Kruger2Canyon – 18 and 19 June 2016

18 June: 42km Mountain day starting at Kampersrus and running over the escarpment into the Blyde River Canyon. It’s a tough day with more than 2000 m of vertical gain.

19 June: 28km Bushveld day run in the Blue Canyon Conservancy where The Big Four roam (no Buffalo). An incredible opportunity to run in a game reserve with wild animals. The route is relatively flat and marshalled by game rangers.

The other opportunity in 2016 is the Old Mutual Wild Series Golden Gate Challenge from 20 – 22 October 2016.  See for more information on each of this challenge’s days.

Send an email to stating the race and which day you would like to put your name in for (you can go into more than one draw) – and hold thumbs!

** Please note that the entry only includes participation in one day of the challenge and therefore does not include a goody bag, accommodation or meals.
